Course Recipients
The Continuing Education Course for Expert Mediators in international matters, cross-border disputes, and consumer relations is intended for mediators already qualified in these areas, duly registered with the Ministry of Justice, who wish to renew and maintain their qualification to manage conciliation proceedings in the areas under the jurisdiction of the regulatory authorities (ARERA, AGCOM, ART), as required by Article 25, paragraph 3 of Ministerial Decree 150/2023, and to manage all consumer ADR procedures recognized by current legislation.
Course objectives
The course aims to provide timely, up-to-date, and mandatory specialized training, aimed at fulfilling the biennial refresher course requirement (at least 4 hours) to maintain the qualification of Expert Mediator, in compliance with ministerial provisions and in compliance with the required standards.
Duration and method of implementation
The overall duration is at least 4 hours for each two-year training period.
The course is structured into modules on theoretical and practical content in the following areas:
- national and supranational consumer protection regulations;
- judicial, extrajudicial, consensual and equal consumer protection;
- rights and protections in cross-border disputes.
Modules may be held either in person or via audiovisual connection in synchronous mode (interactive videoconference), in accordance with the technical and educational requirements established by Ministerial Decree 150/2023. The entire course may be conducted online only if it is entirely synchronous, interactive, and requires rigorous attendance verification. Courses cannot be held in asynchronous or minimally interactive mode: training must ensure genuine participation and traceability of access. The training provider certifies actual module attendance, as required by Article 15 of Ministerial Decree 150/2023.
Training Project Manager
Professional with proven experience in mediation/ADR and educational planning, preferably an accredited mediator and/or trainer, capable of ensuring scientific consistency, methodological quality, and compliance with the requirements of Ministerial Decree 150/2023.
Teachers
Mediators/trainers with expertise in consumer matters, with an appropriate degree, practical experience in B2C ADR procedures, and teaching skills (interactive lessons, case studies, role play), in line with ministerial requirements for theoretical and practical trainers.
Tutor
Organizational and teaching support role in distance learning, with skills in platform management, attendance tracking, participation facilitation, technical assistance to students, and online communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifying certificate
At the end of the course, participants will be awarded an official certificate of "Continuing Training as an Expert Mediator in International Matters, Cross-Border Disputes, and Consumer Relations." The certificate, sent via email, allows participants to maintain their qualification for:
- Mandatory conciliation in the energy, gas, and water sectors (ARERA);
- Conciliation in matters of telephony, Internet, pay-TV (AGCOM);
- Conciliation in transport (ART);
- Management of all ADR procedures related to consumer matters recognized by current legislation.
Registration fee
The registration fee is €90.00 (VAT exempt).
Any cancellations must be notified at least fifteen days before the start of the Course; after this deadline, no refunds will be made. In the event of cancellation by the Organization, the fee will be refunded in full.
